Peachy Keen Stamps ~ Challenge #13-50 : "Photo Inspiration"

Hello everyone!  It's time for the Peachy Keen Stamps ~ Challenge #13-50 : "Photo Inspiration".  The guidelines for this challenge:  Create a project using the photo as inspiration.  Interpret the photo ANY way you would like, just be sure to let us in on your creative process.  The colors next to the photo are only suggested.

Here is the photo:

And here is my card:

It's probably obvious, but the first thing I thought of when looking at the inspiration photo - was a beautiful Christmas ornament.  And of course, the colors are gorgeous too!  The pretty patterned papers are from the Simple Stories ~ Handmade Christmas Collection.  The solid red and solid green cardstock are from Paper Trey Ink.  The shiny red cardstock for the ornament on the right is from the Die Cuts With A View ~ Foiled Cardstock Stack.  And the sparkly gold paper for the ornament on the left is from the Die Cuts With A View ~ Glitzy Glitter Stack.  All of the cuts on this card were done with my Cameo and files from the Silhouette Online Store.  The pretty leaves/branches at the top were cut with a Martha Stewart punch.  I added some simple bows with hemp twine and added a little red pearl to the center of each bow.  The "Happy Holidays" sentiment is from the PKS ~ December 2012 : Kit of the Month.

Well that's it for me.  Make sure you head on over to Peachy Keen Stamps to see what the rest of the Design Team has created.  And I hope to see each and every one of you enter this fun challenge!!  I can't wait to see what you all make!

Peachy Keen Stamps ~ Challenge #13-46 : "Anything Goes"

Hello everyone!  It's time for the Peachy Keen Stamps ~ Challenge # 13-46 : "Anything Goes".  The guidelines for this challenge:  Create a project using Peachy Keen Stamps...anything goes!

I made this card for a sweet bloggy friend that's going through a rough time.  I think it can sometimes be hard to make "Sympathy" or "Thinking of You" cards.  It's always good to have one on hand for when you need one.

This is a cute 5x5 card.  All of the patterned papers are from the We R Memory Keepers ~ Harvest collection. The scalloped square shape in the center is cut with a Spellbinders Die.

This cutie patootie little bear is from the PKS ~ Thinking of You Bear.  I colored her with Copic ~ Sketch Markers. I paper pieced the heart.  I added a sweet little bow with hemp twine, and put a sequin and little pearl in the center.  I put the whole piece on pop dots for dimension.

That's it...super simple.  Make sure you head on over to Peachy Keen Stamps to see what the rest of the Design Team has created.  And I can't wait to see what you all create...so get your craft on!!!  Have a great day everyone!  I will see you all again soon.

Peachy Keen Stamps ~ Challenge. #13-34 : Just Cards - Sympathy

Hello everyone! It's time for the Peachy Keen Stamps ~ Challenge #13-34 : Just Cards - Sympathy.  The guidelines for this challenge: Create a card using a Sympathy theme.

Now you all know that Peachy Keen Stamps has some of the cutest stamps ever, but they also have some very beautiful and thoughtful stamps as well.

All of the cardstock are from Paper Trey Ink.  For the background, I embossed it with the Swiss Dots ~ Cuttlebug Embossing Folder.

These beautiful shapes are cut with the MCT ~ XL Label Die & the MCT ~ Stitched XL Lable Die.  The flowers are from the PKS ~ Say It With Flowers.  I stamped them with Tuxedo Black ~ Memento Ink and colored them in the Copic ~ Sketch Markers.  The label is cut with the MCT ~ Vintage Stitched Label Dies.  The sentiment is from the PKS ~ Howling Puppy.

I wanted to show you how I did something a little different this time.  I used the MCT ~ XL Label Die to cut the shape out of the front of the card.  Then, I actually adhered the other piece to the inside of the card using pop dots.  That way, it pops out through the front when you close the card.  Pretty cool huh?

Well that's it for me today.  Make sure you head on over to the Peachy Keen Stamps ~ Challenge Blog to see what the rest of the Design Team has created.  I hope you enter the challenge this week!!  I can't wait to see what you all make!!  Have a great day!  I will see you all again soon.

Peachy Keen Stamps ~ Challenge #13-30 : Photo Inspiration

Hello everyone!  It's time for the Peachy Keen Stamps Challenge #13-30 : Photo Inspiration!  The guidelines for this challenge:  Create a project using the photo as inspiration.  Interpret the photo ANY way you'd like, just be sure to let us in on your creative process.  The colors next to the photo are only suggested.

Here is the photo:

For my project, I used the colors as my inspiration:

Don't you love it when you make something and think "this might just be one of my favorites ever"?  Hee Hee!  I love it how it turned out.  The card base is made with kraft cardstock from Paper Trey Ink.  And all of the patterned cardstock is from the Die Cuts With A View ~ Baby Boy Stack, except for the blue polka dot paper which is from Doodlebug Design ~ Petite Prints.  I cut the scallop shape out of the middle of the front of the card to make a little window with a Spellbinders ~ Nestabilities Die.

I cut the pretty trees with my Cameo and a file from the Silhouette Online Store.  I paper pieced them to give them a little dimension and adhered them with pop dots for even more dimension.

The really pretty snowflakes are the punched out parts from using a Martha Stewart ~ Border Punch.  At the bottom of the card, I made the snow using the MCT ~ Stitched Cartoon Cloud Dies.

This first little cutie is from the PKS ~ Skatin' By stamp set.  I paper pieced him and used Copic ~ Sketch Markers as well.  I used Marvy Uchida ~ Liquid Applique for the puffy cotton parts.  And I used a Clear Star ~ Gelly Roll Pen to make the blades on the skates a little sparkly.

This other little cutie is also from the PKS ~ Skatin' By stamp set.  I paper pieced him and used Copic ~ Sketch Markers and the Clear Star ~ Gelly Rolly Pen as well.

The "Tis the Season..." sentiment is from the PKS ~ Christmas Greeting Words stamp set.

Here is the inside of the card.  I added another tree and also used Waterfall ~ Stickles to make the ice.

Definitely one of my favorites!!!  :)  Make sure you head on over to the Peachy Keen Stamps ~ Challenge Blog to see what the rest of the Design Team has created.  And I hope you have time to enter the challenge...I can't wait to see what you all make!!!  Have a great day everyone!  See you all again soon!

I needed a Get Well card this week, so I decided to use a little Peachy humor:

That would certainly make me chuckle if I was under the weather.   Hee Hee!  The black, gray and white cardstock are from Recollections.  The yellow chevron paper is from the Simple Stories ~ Snap Color Vibe collection.

This pretty scalloped oval shape is cut with a Spellbinders ~ Nestabilities Die.  The fun little piece of corn is from the PKS ~ Faceless Corn.  And the cute little face is from the PKS ~ Erkle & Merkle Face Assortment.  I used a white ~ Sakura Gelly Roll Pen for the eyes.  I paper pieced the corn.  The yellow paper for the corn is from the Simple Stories ~ Snap Just the Basics collection and the green paper is from the Simple Stories ~ Snap Color Vibe collection.  I put the whole piece on pop dots for dimension.

The funny sentiments are from the PKS ~ Faceless Corn.  The bow is made with Liz's Paper Loft Boutique ~ Hemp Twine.  The flower gem in the center is from my stash and in the center of it is a tiny Recollections ~ Pearl.

Peachy Keen Stamps ~ Challenge #47

Hello everyone!  I've been so busy lately that I haven't had a chance to participate in any of the PKS Challenges, but I absolutely couldn't skip this one.  It's time for the Peachy Keen Stamps ~ Challenge #47 : Sketch Challenge - HAPPY BIRTHDAY KATHY!!!  Kathy is the creative genius behind all of the super cute Peachy Keen Stamps and this weekend was her birthday.  So the challenge this time is focused on sending Kathy - Happy Birthday wishes.

The guidelines for this challenge:  Create a card or a layout based on the sketch provided.  Design must be new and created specifically for this challenge and must include Peachy Keens Stamps to win.

Here is the sketch:

And here is my card for Kathy:

The white and the black cardstock are from Paper Trey Ink. The solid yellow cardstock is from Recollections.  The background squares are stamped with the Peachy Keen Stamps ~ Celebrations background stamp and the Peachy Keen Stamps ~ What Time Is It? background stamp.  The ink is black ~ Ranger Archival Ink.

This super cute flower is cut with the Peachy Keen Stamps ~ Funny Flowers set (this is a Cottage Cutz stamp/die set). The patterned paper for the flower and leaf are from Doodlebug Design ~ Petite Prints.  For the cutie patootie face, I used some chalk for cheeks, a white ~ Sakura Gelly Roll pen for accents and Copic ~ Sketch Markers for the nose and mouth.  In order to give the flower some dimension, I snipped apart the flower petals so that I could curl them.  I also inked the edges with charcoal ~ Colorbox Ink to help it stand out a little.  I put pop dots behind the flower for even more dimension.  I added a little birthday candle sticker to the leaf for some birthday love. And the bow is tied with The Twinery ~ Charcoal twine.  I added a little yellow button and black gem to the center.

On the inside, I stamped this with the Peachy Keen Stamps ~ Lucy's ABC's and 123's stamp set.  If you don't have this set yet...it's AWESOME and definitely a MUST HAVE!!!

Well my creative friends, that's it for me today.  Make sure you head on over to the Peachy Keen Stamps ~ Challenge Blog to see all the other entries.  And leave Kathy some Happy Birthday love!  HAPPY BIRTHDAY MISS KATHY!!!! Thank You for all you do!!!

Peachy Keen Stamps ~ Challenge #43

Holy cow...this is my 3rd post for the day!!!  For my Guest Designer post for Obsessed with Scrapbooking click here and for the My Creative Time ~ November Release - Sneak Peek : Day 2  clcik here.

Hello everyone!  It's time for the Peachy Keen Stamps ~ Challenge #43 : Anything Goes.  The guidelines for this challenge:  Make any project you wish using Peachy Keen Stamps.  Project must be new and must include Peachy Keen Stamps to win.

I've had a lot of nice feedback from scrapbookers out there, so I thought I would make a layout for you today:

This is an 8x8 layout.  I wasn't sure just which picture I would put on it, so I left the middle blank. This could easily be made into a 12x12 layout or even framed for some home decor.  The pretty blue patterned paper in the background is from the Recollections ~ Jingle Bells collection.  And the cutie patootie little elf couple is from the Peachy Keen Stamps ~ November 2012 : Kit of the Month.  Aren't they just the cutest???

I colored them both in with Copic ~ Sketch Markers.  Still not that great at it, but I think they turned out ok.  For some extra fun, I put them both on pop dots for dimension.

For some sparkle, I used Goldenrod ~ Stickles on their belts and Star Dust ~ Stickles on their hats. I just can't get over how cute they are!  Peachy Keen designs are just the best!!!

As a bonus MCT ~ Sneak Peek --- the "Christmas" is cut with the brand new Lower Case Fun Dies.  The green and red cardstock are from Recollections.  The red little flower gem is from my stash.  And I did some pen work on the letters with a white ~ Sakura Gelly Roll Pen and some stitching with a black ~ Zig Writer Pen.

At the bottom, I gathered some Celebrate It ~ Holiday Noel ribbon and adhered it with that red Terrifically Tacky Tape. And then of course added a cute little bow.  I plan to put a picture in the middle.  But if I change my mind, I might just make a fun Christmas Tree and frame this little cutie.

Well, that's officially it for me today.  Phew!  Three posts in one day...I think that's a record.  Boy, I'm pooped!!!  LOL  But the week's not over yet!!!  Make sure you head on over to the Peachy Keen Stamps ~ Challenge Blog  to see the rest of the entries.  And I will see you all again tomorrow!  Have a great day!   :)

Hello everyone!  It's time for the Peachy Keen Stamps ~ Challenge #42 : Sketch Challenge.  The guidelines for this challenge:  Create a card or a layout based on the sketch provided.  Design must be new and must include Peachy Keen Stamps to win.

Here is the sketch:

And here is my card:

Isn't he a cutie?  The solid brown and solid yellow cardstock are from Recollections.  All of the other patterned papers are from both the Bo Bunny ~ Double Dots Collection and the Simple Stories ~ Harvest Lane Collection.

The fun little turkey and the sentiments are from the Peachy Keen Stamps ~ October 2012 - Kit of the Month.  I paper pieced the turkey with all of his feathers for some fun dimension and awesome color.  And I added some Copper ~ Stickles to end of the baster.

For some extra bling, I added these 3 little Queen & Co. ~ Twinkle Goosebumps.  The ink for the sentiments and the turkey is black ~ Ranger Archival Ink.

That's it for today.  Doesn't it make you think of yummy Thanksgiving food???  Even though I'm an adult, I still think there's nothing like mom's home cookin'!!!!!  ;)  (Who am I kidding...I may be an adult...but I did NOT inherit the cooking gene LOL.  Good thing for mom's home cookin'!!!)

Peachy Keen Stamps ~ Challenge #41

Hello everyone!  And HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!  It's time for the Peachy Keen Stamps ~ Challenge #41 : 3D Wall Art. The guidelines for this challenge:  Create a 3D-Wall Art project. Design must be new and must include Peachy Keen Stamps to win.

More Disneyland fun...

This is a simple $1 wood frame from Michaels that I just painted with some black acrylic paint.  Super quick and easy!

All of the cute little pumpkins are cut with the Peachy Keen Stamps ~ Pumpkin Trio stamp & die set.  Their faces are from that set as well as the Peachy Keen Stamps ~ Pumpkin Faces stamp set.  The cardstock for the pumpkins, their stems and the sign are from my scraps pile.

I chalked up all the pumpkins for more of a distressed look. And I used a white ~ Sakura Gelly Roll Pen for the eyes.

The little curlies on the pumpkins are made with The Twinery ~ Peapod, Seaweed & Honeydew Twine.  To make them so cute and curly, I used a technique I just learned from Debbie in her Friday Tip of the Day that you can see here.  I also used various sizes of pop dots behind the pumpkins for dimension.

The sign is cut from the Create a Critter 2 ~ Cricut Cartridge.  I used a white ~ Sakura Gelly Roll Pen and a black ~ Zig Writer Pen for the distress marks.  I used pop dots for this as well for more dimension.

And the super cool spider ribbon is from Michaels.  Want to hear something funny?  I looked and looked at more than one store to find this ribbon on a roll, but no luck.  So at one of the Michaels, they had this gigantic bow - you know, the ones they sell in the floral department?  Well, even though it was a bazillion dollars...I bought it!!!  LOL  I just had to have that ribbon!!  Isn't it the coolest??

Well, that's it for me today.  Make sure you head on over to the Peachy Keen Stamps ~ Challenge Blog to see the rest of the entries.  And have a happy and safe Halloween everyone! See you all again soon.

Oh, and don't forget - it's "3D Wednesday" over at My Creative Time.

So head on over there to check out what the Design Team has created.
