Peachy Keen Stamps ~ Challenge #2

Hello everyone!  It's time for the Peachy Challenge #2 ~ Photo Inspiration.  The guidelines for this challenge: Create a project of your choice using this photo as inspiration.  You can interpret it however you like!  Remember, you don't have to use our stamps to link up, but you do have to use our stamps to win the prize.  Design must be new and created specifically for this challenge.

Here is the photo that we are to use for inspiration:

The minute I saw this photo, I knew exactly what inspired me: the colors and the flowers.  So I got out one of my favorite Cricut cartridges ~ Flower Shoppe and my brand new paper pack that matched perfectly with these colors - Die Cuts With A View ~ Le Tres Chic.

Here is my creation:

Isn't it sooo cute?  I just absolutely LOVE it!  I made it especially for my scrapbook room.  The cute little flower box is from Michaels.  I actually got it on clearance and there was a plant in it that I took out and threw away . . . hee hee.  The filler is from my stash.  I added some cream colored tulle from the Celebrate It ~ Wedding collection.  And I added a pretty bow with ribbon from my stash.  I wish I knew the maker of that ribbon - I'm almost out.  :(  All of the papers are from the Die Cuts With A View ~ Le Tres Chic paper stack, except for the flower centers which are from Recollections.

This pretty pink flower is the #5 flower on the Flower Shoppe ~ Cricut cartridge.  The flower center is cut with the My Creative Time ~ Stitched Circle Die.  The sweet little face is from the Peachy Keen Stamps ~ Winter Wonderland Face Assortment.  I colored her eyes in with a white ~ Sakura Gelly Roll pen and added some cheeks with chalk.  I also inked all the edges lightly with Chestnut Roan ~ Color Box ink.

This pretty flower is the #6 flower on the Flower Shoppe ~ Cricut cartridge.  The flower center is cut with the My Creative Time ~ Stitched Circle Die.  The sweet little face is from the Peachy Keen Stamps ~ Snow Cuties Face Assortment.  I added some cute little cheeks with chalk.  And I lightly inked all the edges with Chestnut Roan ~ Color Box ink.

This pretty blue flower is the #10 flower on the Flower Shoppe ~ Cricut cartridge.  The flower center is cut with the My Creative Time ~ Stitched Circle Die.  The fun little face is from the Peachy Keen Stamps ~ The Cornies Face Assortment.  I colored in her eyes with a white ~ Sakura Gelly Roll pen and added some cheeks with chalk.  I also inked all the edges lightly with Chestnut Roan ~ Color Box ink.

I'm not sure if you can really tell in these photos, but some of the papers are shimmery and so very pretty.  I think this turned out so great!  I was originally going to make a card, but the flowers turned out so cute I just had to make it into a fun flower pot.

Monday Madness ~ Imagine That with My Creative Time

Happy Monday everyone!  And welcome to another "Monday Madness ~ Imagine That" with My Creative Time.  For our projects today ~ we are using our Cricut Imagine machines and making a "shaped" card, plus - I am featuring the My Creative Time ~ Teeny Tag Greetings stamp set.

I haven't made very many "shaped" cards in my crafting career, so this was a little new for me.  They are kinda simple, but I hope you like them:

All of the papers for these cards are printed from the Bubblegum Stripes ~ Cricut Imagine cartridge.  And these cute birthday presents are cut from the Birthday Bash ~ Cricut cartridge.  

For those of you who don't have an Imagine, listen to this - this is soooo cool:  on the Cricut Imagine there are two slots for cartridges.  The slot on the left is for a regular Cricut cartridge. And the slot on the right is for the Imagine cartridge.  Wait for it . . . you can actually select an image (like this birthday present) and then "flood-fill" it with a color or pattern from the Imagine cartridge!  How unbelievably cool is that?!?!?!  No more wasting paper by printing a full sheet of patterned paper and then cutting out the image.  You just fill the image with the color or pattern and then it cuts it out!!!!  Sooooo cool!

So for this first present, I used a solid color for the present and the polka dot print for the bow/ribbon.  I added a cute little tag cut with the tag dies from the My Creative Time ~ Teeny Tag Greetings stamp set.  The "Birthday Wishes" sentiment is from that same stamp set.

Here you can see how I borrowed a little technique from Miss Emma and I added a giant brad in the center of the bow to connect both the front and back of the card.  Then the card just swivels open.  How fun is that?  

Another little tip ~ in order to get the front and back halves of the card to line up correctly - when cutting them out on the Imagine, I used the "flip" feature to print and cut the back half of the card.  That way they are actually flipped around and printed and cut the opposite way so they line up perfectly. Does that make sense?  Hope so  :)  In the bottom left corner, I stamped the "Happy Happy Birthday" sentiment from the My Creative Time ~ Wow! So Many Candles stamp set.

Here is a second card printed with the polka dot print as the present and the solid color for the bow/ribbon.

The "Wish Big" sentiment for this second card is also from the My Creative Time ~ Wow! So Many Candles stamp set.

Ok, now for the girly pink version  :)

Oh, I forgot to mention that I used some white ~ DMC floss for the little bows attached to the tags.

Market Street Stamps ~ Jan Block Party

Hello everyone!  Recently, I discovered Market Street Stamps.  I'm sure many of you already know about them, but thanks to my blogging  buddy Glora - I am now hooked.  :)  I've also found out that they have some fun challenges on their blog.  So today I am entering my first challenge with them.  It's the Market Street Stamps ~ January Block Party.  The guidelines for this challenge:  Create a new project with MSS stamps!  It can be anything (cards, layouts, altered items, etc.) - be creative and have FUN!

So here is my very first card using Market Street Stamps:

The black card base is from Recollections.  The red scalloped background piece is cut from the Elegant Edges ~ Cricut cartridge.  The papers for the scalloped piece and the three top hearts are from the K & Company ~ KP Valentine paper pad. The white background cardstock and the pink cardstock for the bottom heart are from Recollections.  The super fun background stamp is the Market Street Stamps ~ Too Many Martinis.  I stamped it with Technique Tuesday ~ black ink. Then I colored in some of the circles with red & pink ~ Prismacolor pencils and blended it with Odorless Mineral Spirits. 

The beautiful hearts are cut with the heart die in the My Creative Time ~ 100% Sweetness stamp set.  For the red heart, I did some stitching with a white ~ Sakura Gelly Roll pen.  And for the pink heart, I added the "Be Mine!" sentiment from the My Creative Time ~ Be Mine mini stamp set.

For the pink heart in the upper right corner, I did some stitching with a Salmon ~ Zig Writer pen.  And for the pretty rose patterned heart, I added a little bow with white ~ DMC floss.

To add a little extra sparkle, I added some pretty little pink & red flower gems from my stash.

Throwback Thursday Challenge

Hello everyone!  It's time for another "Throwback Thursday Challenge" with Emma over at My Creative Time.  This has always been my most favorite challenge, because it always encourages you to use the cartridges you already have in your collection.  Don't you just love it when you discover a 'new to you'  image on a cartridge that you have had forever?  lol . . . I sure do!  

The challenge this week is a Valentine Challenge ~ make a project of your choice using any cartridge that has to do with Valentine's Day.

So for my project, I decided to go simple and focus on the best part of Valentine's Day (no not chocolate silly!) ~ LOVE:  

The card base, and the black & white cardstock are all from Recollections.  The pretty patterned paper is from the brand new Die Cuts With A View ~ Le Tres Chic mat stack.  

The pretty little heart is cut with the heart die from the My Creative Time ~ 100% Sweetness stamp set.  The love sentiment stamped inside the heart is also from that stamp set.  

The "love" is cut from the Cake Basics ~ Cricut cartridge.  I added some simple dots for highlighting with a white ~ Sakura Gelly Roll pen.  Also, as a border on the top and the bottom of the card, I used the "love you" sentiment from the My Creative Time ~ Teeny Tag Greetings stamp set.  And I alternated with red & black ink from Technique Tuesday.

My Creative Time ~ "3-D Wednesday"

Hello everyone!  And welcome to another "3-D Wednesday" with My Creative Time.  The idea for "3-D Wednesday" is to make anything besides a card or a layout.

So today I made two quick and simple gifts:  

Aren't they so pretty?  They look so much better in person...lol...I still have to work on my picture taking for these posts.

The first one is made with my FAVORITE My Creative Time ~ Embossed Gift Card Holder Die.  The pretty patterned paper is from the Die Cuts With A View ~ Chateau Lavendar paper stack.  I inked all around the edges with Color Box ~ Chestnut Roan ink.  The sentiment at the top is from the My Creative Time ~ More Gift Card Sentiments stamp set just released last week.  The ink for that is Technique Tuesday ~ brown ink.  The pretty heart is cut with the heart die from the My Creative Time ~ 100% Sweetness stamp set.  The beautiful little bouquet of roses is from The Card Co.  I tied them together with some simple white ~ DMC floss.  And of course I had to add my new addiction - pretty white tulle from the Celebrate It ~ Wedding collection.  

The second gift is a quick little pillow box from the Celebrate It ~ Occasions collection.  All of the patterned papers are from the same Die Cuts With A View ~ Chateau Lavendar paper stack.  I added some pretty purple tulle from the Celebrate It ~ Occasions collection.  And I added a cute little tag cut with the small tag die in the My Creative Time ~ Teeny Tag Greetings stamp set.  The "Thank You" sentiment is from the same stamp set.  The ink is Technique Tuesday ~ brown ink.  I attached it with simple white ~ DMC floss.

Peachy Keen Stamps ~ Challenge

Hello everyone!  Well, it's a new year and time to get back to participating in challenges around our blogging world.  Peachy Keen Stamps has changed the way they are doing their challenges this year.  There will be a new challenge posted every Friday and you have until the following Wednesday at midnight to enter.  So let's get started!!!

Peachy Challenge #1 ~ Pockets:  Create a project with a pocket!  Whether it folds, tucks, or hides a treat, pockets are a fun way to add something extra.  Remember, you don't have to use our stamps to link up, but you do have to use our stamps to win the prize.  

So when I saw this challenge and read the guidelines, the very first thing that entered my mind was the song "Pocket Full of Sunshine" by Natasha Bedingfield.  And of course then I couldn't get it out of my head - lol - so I made my little card based on that: 

The card base is from Recollections.  The scallop background piece is cut from the Elegant Edges ~ Cricut cartridge.  The kraft cardstock for that background piece is from Joanns.  If you look closely, you can see that I embossed the kraft cardstock with the Divine Swirls ~ Cuttlebug embossing folder. I cut the pocket with the Old West ~ Cricut cartridge.  I used my Gypsy and the "hide contour feature" to hide the pattern that was on the pocket.  For my sentiment, I used the My Creative Time ~ Stitched Oval Die and my computer to print out exactly what I wanted it to say "Wishing you a pocket full of sunshine."  I colored the word "sunshine" for a little extra emphasis with a Prismacolor pencil.  

For my super cute sun, I used the two tag dies in the My Creative Time ~ Teeny Tag Greetings stamp set and the My Creative Time ~ Stitched Circle Die for the center.  For the fun face, I used my new Peachy Keen Stamps ~ The Cornies Assortment.  I colored in her eyes with a white ~ Sakura Gelly Roll pen.  And I added some cute little cheeks with chalk.  The pretty paper is from the My Mind's Eye ~ Warm Spectrums paper pack.  The blue paper for the pocket is from Bazzill.

It still needed a little something so I added some little gems from my stash around the scallop edges.  That's it!  My first PKS Challenge entry of the year.  If you have never entered a challenge yet, then make it a New Year's Resolution!  (it would actually be a fun resolution to keep - LOL).

For my project, I decided to make a set of "Thank You" cards. You can never have too many of those on hand and this stamp set is perfect for that.  

The  black, white and grey cardstock are from Recollections. The red striped patterned paper is printed from the Better Together ~ Cricut Imagine cartridge.  If you are considering getting an Imagine ~ I am telling you - printing your own patterned paper is soooo worth it!!!

For this first card, the word "thanks" is cut with the Winter Woodland ~ Cricut cartridge.  For a little extra highlighting, I added some simple dots with a white ~ Sakura Gelly Roll pen.  

The pretty little flowers are cut with the Mother's Day Bouquet ~ Cricut cartridge.  I added some small little black brads from my stash to the top two flowers.  For the bottom flower, I added some pretty white tulle from the Celebrate It ~ Wedding collection.  And on top of that, I added a cute little black button threaded and tied with a bow using white ~ DMC Floss. 

In the bottom right corner, I used the heart die in the My Creative Time ~ 100% Sweetness stamp set.  And the "for everything" sentiment is from the My Creative Time ~ So Grateful For You stamp set. The ink is Technique Tuesday ~ black ink.  

For this next card (my favorite of the three), the "Thank You" is cut from the Martha Stewart : All Occasions Cake Art ~ Cricut cartridge.  If you look closely, the piece of grey cardstock is embossed with a folder in the Love Is In The Air ~ Cuttlebug embossing folders set.  

The pretty flowers are once again cut from the Mother's Day Bouquet ~ Cricut cartridge.  In the center of the two flowers, I used some black ~ Doodlebug Design gems.  

The sentiment in the bottom left corner is from the My Creative Time ~ So Grateful For You stamp set.  The ink is Technique Tuesday ~ black ink.  The beautiful heart is cut with the heart die from the My Creative Time ~ 100% Sweetness stamp set.  And the beautiful bow is made with Celebrate It ~ Sheer Creations ribbon.  Isn't it pretty?  I just got it...and on sale too!  :)  

For this last card, the "Thanks" is once again cut from the Winter Woodland ~ Cricut cartridge.  

The pretty little flowers are cut from the Mother's Day Bouquet ~ Cricut cartridge.  For the centers, I added little Recollections ~ pearls.  In the bottom right corner, the "for being you" sentiment is from the My Creative Time ~ So Grateful For You stamp set.  In ink is Technique Tuesday ~ black ink.  

Also, if you look closely, the piece of grey cardstock is embossed with the Polka Dots ~ Cuttlebug embossing folder.

My Creative Time ~ January Release - BLOG HOP

Happy Friday everyone!  Hasn't Sneak Peek Week been so much fun?  Well, now it's time for the best part . . . the BLOG HOP!  If you came here from Emma's blog at My Creative Time, then you are in the right place.  If not, then make sure you start there because you don't want to miss her awesome January Release video!  Now find a comfy place to sit and let's get this Blog Hop party started!!! 

For my projects today, I get to showcase the SUPER TERRIFIC ~ Bubblegum Treat Box Die!!!  Here's a picture so you can get a good look:

Yesterday, I showed you a beautiful set of wedding themed reception favors.  So today I decided to make a whole bunch with different themes so that you can get a great idea of how useful this fabulous new die is gonna be!!!  Also, I kept the embellishments super simple so that you can see how quick and easy they are to create.  So here we go with our Bubblegum Treat Box Bonanza . . . 

Oh, one more thing - (enabler alert) - I tried to use a bunch of different MCT products so that you can see how well all of Emma's products work together.  And since they won't all fit into my "labels" section, I thought I would give you a complete list here:

Ok, back to our Bubblegum Treat Box Bonanza ~ we have already seen the 3 great new sport themed stamp sets being released this month.  So for all of you with kiddos active in sports, I thought we would start with a baseball favor (keep in mind this can easily be adapted to any sport):

The blue patterned paper for this treat is from the We R Memory Keepers ~ Yankee Doodles paper line.  The super fun ribbon is from the Celebrate It ~ Basic-Basic collection (they have footballs and basketballs too).  For the embellishment in the center, I used the My Creative Time ~ Stitched Circle Die. The sentiment and baseball are from the newly released My Creative Time ~ Grand Slam stamp set.  For the baseball, in order to get the two different colors to make it look like a real baseball, I hand colored it with a black marker for the outline and a red marker for the stitching.  It's not perfect, but like Emma says "there are no mistakes in paper crafting!"   ;) 

Ok, how about some fun birthday party favors:

The patterned paper for this treat is from the Bo Bunny ~ Back to Basics paper line.  The cute little #8 birthday candle was cut from the  Sweet Treats~ Cricut cartridge.  The polka dot patterned paper is my favorite Doodlebug Design ~ Petite Prints collection.  I added some yellow ~ Stickles for the flame. And at the top, I tied it off with some fun purple "tull-EEE" from the Celebrate It ~ Wedding collection.

The paper for this little birthday treat is from the Echo Park Paper Co. ~ Little Girl paper collection.  I added 3 cute little tags that were cut with the smaller tag die from the newly released My Creative Time ~ Teeny Tag Greetings stamp set.  The "Birthday Wishes" sentiment is also from that set.  The twine is from The Twinery ~ Pink Sorbet.  And I added some pretty purple "tull-EEE" from the Celebrate It ~ Wedding collection.

Now as you can see, I did these two birthday treats a little differently than the traditional ones.  And it's super simple to recreate.  All you have to do is cut off one of the ends.  Now don't freak out - lol - it's totally ok to change it up a little!  ;)  **Now I do have a couple of helpful tips if you are gonna try this. First, when trimming off the end - make sure you leave enough so that you can fold the ends in (kinda like a wrapping a present) and attach them with adhesive.  And second, and this is really important - make sure you score the ends before you fold them in.  As you can see, the cute little treat box die has Emma's signature stitching.  And if you don't score it before folding, then you might accidentally fold it on the stitching line and you don't want to do that because then you wouldn't be able to see it.  For those of you that have the Lollipop Holder Die . . . it's kinda just like that (the folding line is just a little past the stitching line and it's easy to miss).  I hope I'm explaining it ok.

Let's switch it up a bit.  How about some fun holiday treats? With Valentine's Day just around the corner . . . here is a super cute and easy treat idea:

You can whip up 20-30 of these for all the kids in your child's classroom in no time!!!  The patterned paper for this treat is from the K & Company ~ KP Valentine paper pack.  For the super quick and simple embellishment, I used the heart die from the My Creative Time ~ 100% Sweetness stamp set.  The sentiment is from the My Creative Time ~ You Had Me At Chocolate stamp set.  And to tie off the ends I used some pretty pink "tull-EEE" from the Celebrate It ~ Occasions collection.   ;)

Ok, now how about another fun holiday - St. Patrick's Day:

Now of course this holiday is a favorite of many individuals who partake in the sampling of "adult beverages" LOL, but how about making some fun little green treats for the kiddos.  The patterned paper for this treat is from the Die Cuts With A View ~ Lemon Flower paper stack.  And for the embellishment on this treat, I used the My Creative Time ~ Scallop & Stitched Circle Dies.  The green paper and white paper for both are from Recollections.  The sentiment is from the My Creative Time ~ I Believe In Leprechauns stamp set.

Next, what would Easter be without little chocolate treats everywhere?!?!

The colorful patterned paper for this treat is from the Die Cuts With A View ~ Blossoms & Butterflies paper stack.  For the embellishment, I used the starburst die from the My Creative Time ~ Build A Banner Kit.  The sentiment is from the My Creative Time ~ Color Me Happy stamp set.  And of course, it all looks cuter with a little "tull-EEE" from the Celebrate It ~ Wedding collection.   ;)

Let's move onto summer and the Fourth of July . . . how about some fun red-white-blue party favors:

Now for this one, I did absolutely nothing except tie the ends shut with some more fun "tull-EEE".  That's it!  Five minutes tops!  Well, actually that depends on how long it takes you to pick out your piece of patterned paper . . . LOL.  If you're like me, that can take forever!!!  But seriously, I wanted to show you how you can make them as simple as possible without embellishing and they can still be super cute!!!  I'm telling you - you are gonna want this die!!!   ;)

So, right along with Easter, what Halloween would be complete without oodles and oodles of treats everywhere?!?!?!

The patterned paper for this treat is from the Echo Park Paper Co. ~ Happy Halloween paper collection.  For the embellishment, I used the starburst die from the My Creative Time ~ Build A Banner Kit.  The sentiment is from the My Creative Time ~ Mixed Holiday Sentiments stamp set.  The pretty ribbon is from my stash - not sure who the maker is.

How about one more holiday?  This Treat Box is the perfect size for stocking stuffers:

The patterned paper for this treat is from the Authentique ~ Wonder paper pack.  For the embellishment, I used the My Creative Time ~ Scallop & Stitched Circle Dies.  The sentiment is from the My Creative Time ~ All Around Christmas stamp set.  The pretty red bows are made with Celebrate It ~ Sheer Creations ribbon.  You can fill these with little holiday chocolate treats or even tiny little gifts - like a cute set of earrings for your daughter or maybe a new pair of ear buds for someone's ipod!  Or...there's nothing like some cold hard cash from Santa!!!  lol

Not done yet . . . I saved my favorite for last.  How about some cute baby shower favors:

Isn't it soooo cute?  You can whip up 20 of these "babies" (pun intended - hee hee) in absolutely no time whatsoever!  The patterned paper for this little pink treat is from the Die Cuts With A View ~ Baby Girl paper stack.  The super cute baby feet ribbon is from Celebrate It ~ Sheer Creations.  I added a cute little tag cut with the smaller tag die in the also newly released this month My Creative Time ~ Teeny Tag Greetings stamp set.  And the sweet little sentiment "Precious Baby" is also from that set.  Now for some cuteness overload . . . do you see the cute little charm hanging next to the tag?  It's a sweet little pacifier from Wilton ~ Favor Accents.  They come in a cute little multi-colored pack with pink, blue, yellow, purple and green ones.  Too cute!!!

This cute little boy one is exactly the same as the little girl one except that the patterned paper is from the Die Cuts With A View ~ Baby Boy paper stack.  Isn't is sooo cute?!?!?!  I just LOVE them!  And this is about as simple as you can get with embellishing!  Can you imagine all the possibilities???

Well, how was that for a Bubblegum Treat Box Bonanza?!?!?  There's a total of 11 different ideas!  I hope that's enough to give you a super good idea of how fun this treat box can be for any occasion.  It's definitely in my "Top 3" favorite MCT products!!!
